Gail Anderson is a design hero of mine. Her work as a designer is impactful to me because of her strong catalog and influence in the design world. After looking through her large catalog and thinking about the most important pieces of information about her, I made an instagram slide carousel inspired by all aspects of her work, including bright colors, experimental text, and large glyphs. I designed a short animation for the first slide that focuses on a stamp and used stamp shapes in the static slides because she designed the 150th anniversary stamp for the emancipation proclamation, which is her personal favorite work. I also used experimental typography that is a signature in many of her poster designs with the School of Visual Arts NYC.
