About the Designer!



Marlie Hayes is a fourth-year graphic design major at the University of Florida. She is exploring the uses of typography, graphics, and the intentional use of color to create impactful designs. Marlie is interested in typography, motion design, UI/UX, and print design. She is particularly interested in creating branding for companies and educational designs that serve their mission. 

She is proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, and After Effects. All skills she developed through the accredited curriculum at the University of Florida College of the Arts.  Currently, she is expanding her skills through her studies, specifically in Visual Systems and Design Futures. In her free time, she also designs for musicians with Swamp Records, serves as a student ambassador for the School of Art and Art History, and is the President of the women's water polo club at UF. In the future, she hopes to work as a designer for a nonprofit 
organization that makes a social or political impact.Marlie grew up in Orlando, Florida. 

Outside of design, she enjoys playing club water polo at UF and photographing nature. She also loves to read books while cuddling with her cat, Little Man, and spending time at local parks with friends.
